Not about nuts, but a hint of crazy

When my husband told me to write a blog post for this online store, I looked at him like a deer caught in a headlight. I thought to myself: "What can I write about? Why would anyone want to even read something I wrote? Why are we creating more work for ourselves?" But here we are.

I often think of myself as a simple-minded paper back kind of person, so when I decided to look into the world of e-commerce, I was clueless, building an online store independently seemed- crazy. Somehow, with the support of my husband at Ripplestream, and the Crazy Nuts and Snacks family, I learnt as I went and I’m still learning as I write this with self-doubt.

For some, web design comes through practice, some are even naturals, and for others it’s a simple matter of hiring a professional to build the store. My husband has worked on websites before, and insisted I go through it step by step with him.

I could not foresee the challenges I’d face at the time, because honestly, each step was a new learning curve.

I felt pressured by my vision, to build a website that I personally would want to shop at if I ever landed on it, but to also capture the quality of the products and price them within reason. I did not realize the size of this project or level of administration involved. My loved ones would listen to my excited ideas and stressful rants with patience and motivation and today the website is finally ready, I think they will breath a sigh of relief.

However, trusting my husband and myself, we’re already planning the next steps; we’re waiting for feedback from you, whether you’re just window shopping, or a returning customer. We want to make this online store a place you enjoy visiting, and our products something that you crave for at odd hours, that you can trust as a center piece to you snack table, or a little cheat treat at work, for your kids, or one that you hide from them.
